About UTG Companies.

UTG Companies, Inc. was founded in 2018 in Richmond, Virginia. We are a privately held parent company that operates a portfolio of specialized subsidiaries across information technology, property operations, professional services, and applied research.

I. Our Story

Founded on a single operating principle.

UTG was built around a simple observation: most operational challenges do not arrive in isolation. Privately held businesses deserve coordinated answers across every domain that touches the work — not a procurement exercise that forces them to assemble a stack of disconnected vendors.

2018 / Founding

One holding company, one point of accountability.

UTG was incorporated in Richmond in 2018 to give privately held Mid-Atlantic businesses a single relationship that could span multiple operational domains. The founding thesis was that a property emergency, an IT incident, and a strategy question are often the same problem viewed from three angles — and clients deserve one team that can hold all three.

Today / Portfolio

Built deliberately, vetted continuously.

The portfolio has been assembled gradually and intentionally, one subsidiary at a time, with rigorous vetting at every stage. In 2024 we established Vaxelrod LLC as the dedicated R&D and Intelligence Division — a Woman-Owned Small Business that builds the platforms and applied research that flow back into every UTG engagement.

II. Our Approach

Coordinated, integrated, resilient.

Three operating principles shape every UTG engagement. They are also the structural advantages that distinguish a coordinated holding company from a list of vendors.

i / Strategic Oversight

One parent company, many specialized teams.

UTG provides the relationship, the scoping, and the project coordination across every subsidiary that touches a client engagement. Specialists do the specialist work; the parent company holds the thread. Clients are never asked to manage multiple vendors or reconcile competing scopes.

ii / Integrated Synergy

Cross-functional collaboration by design.

Our subsidiaries are structured to collaborate across domains. IT specialists work alongside business consultants. Property operations coordinate with legal counsel. When work crosses domains — and it usually does — the answer is already coordinated by the time it reaches the client.

iii / Resilient by Design

Diversification as operational stability.

The portfolio approach is a structural advantage, not just a service offering. When one sector slows, others sustain. Clients gain a partner whose stability is engineered into the business model itself, rather than dependent on any single line of revenue.

III. Our Standards

Trust is documented, not assumed.

Every contractor, specialist, and partner in the UTG network passes a multi-stage vetting process before they ever meet a client. The standards are continuous, not one-time.

i / Verification

State licensing and credential checks.

We verify state-issued licensing, professional credentials, and regulatory standing for every contractor and specialist in the network. Documentation is reviewed on an annual cycle, not assumed. Partners whose credentials lapse are removed from active engagement until they are restored.

ii / Background

Background checks and credit assessments.

Every partner undergoes thorough background screening and a credit assessment before being approved for client engagement. Our clients receive professionals whose integrity is documented before the first conversation. This is a baseline, not a feature.

iii / Standards

Adherence to UTG operating guidelines.

All partners commit to UTG's standards for quality, integrity, and client communication. Standards are monitored on every engagement, and partners who fail to meet them do not remain in the network. The bar is set by UTG, not by the partner.

IV. Leadership & Governance

Privately held, deliberately led.

Leadership team and governance structure information is available to qualified counterparties upon request. Please contact us for a corporate overview, capability statement, or executive bios suitable for your due-diligence process.

V. Engagement

Ready to start a conversation?

Every engagement begins with a scoping conversation. We listen first, then propose only the subsidiaries that fit the work.
